Warning Letter issued to Blue Tec Construction Inc. and Nexrock Design Build Inc.

We have issued a warning letter to Blue Tec and Nexrock for unauthorized mechanical excavation causing ground disturbance within the 30-metre prescribed area of Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. (TNPI) pipeline on a construction project near Oshawa, Ontario. Any work within the prescribed area requires a TNPI inspector to be present to observe all work.

Blue Tech and Nexrock were not following all the rules outlined in our Damage Prevention Regulations (DPR-A and DPR-O) and pursuant to ss. 335(1) of the CER Act.

We expect our regulated companies and their contractors to ensure safe work practices to protect people, property and the environment.
