Trans Mountain Pipeline Interim Tolls Update

The CER Commission has granted Trans Mountain’s Extension Request, allowing for a continued pause in the regulatory proceeding for its Interim Tolls Application [Filing C38215].

On January 30, 2026, Trans Mountain filed an update on the status of negotiations with Firm Service Shippers and requested a further extension of this proceeding [Filing C38103]. As set out in the  Commission’s process [Filing C38125], the Firm Service Shippers filed a response supporting the Extension Request [Filing C38163]. Trans Mountain and Firm Service Shippers have indicated they are in active commercial discussions to reach a toll settlement. Trans Mountain is directed to provide the Commission an update on the status of negotiations by April 17, 2026. Regardless of whether a settlement is reached, the Commission will still need to rule on the tolls submitted by Trans Mountain.
