REGDOCS Link
Project Background
The BEL Optimization Project will implement a series of upgrades and modifications at existing facilities on the Trans Québec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc. (TQM) System including Bromont Compressor Station (CS), East Hereford CS, and Lachenaie CS.
The East Hereford CS upgrades and modifications will be located entirely within existing company-owned disposition, in the municipality of East Hereford, Québec. The work consists of the installation of an air–cooled heat exchanger (air cooler) which will be tied to the existing station. The air cooler addition work includes new required station yard piping, valve(s) and control valve to support its operation. The work also includes the addition of a process gas cooler for motor cooling of the A1 compressor unit.
The Bromont CS upgrades and modifications will be located entirely within existing company-owned disposition, in the city of Bromont, Québec. The work consists of expanding the existing air cooler including new required station yard piping, valve(s) and control valves to support its operation. In addition to the air cooler expansion, the work will include installation of a new compressor aero assembly within the existing compressor Unit B1.
The Lachenaie CS upgrades and modifications will be located entirely within existing company-owned disposition, in the city of Terrebonne, Québec. The work consists of the installation of an air cooler which will be tied into the existing B1 unit. The air cooler addition scope includes new required station yard piping, valve(s) and control valves to support its operation. The existing high pressure gas cooler for the A1 and A2 compressor units will be replaced with a new cooler, which will require modifications to the existing station yard piping, and valves. The work also includes the addition of new station flow modes, which will require modifications to the existing high–pressure gas piping, valves, and blowdown infrastructure.
Project construction is planned to commence in February–July 2027, with an expected project in–service dates from July 2027–November 2028.
